Lots of cool stuff going on this spring. Bend Aid launches this summer with Ben Harper on August 26th, followed by Eric Lee Beddingfield on August 30th both shows at Les Schwab Amphitheater. Proceeds benefit The Bend Lapine School district music programs. Pretty rad!
In other news, local band The Heroes of Telemark continues recording their new EP with Lonely Grange Recorders in Sisters, OR. Other local heroes including Ryan Johnson of MT and Michael Martinez who fronts the band 'The Show' are both in the studio here this month tracking their debut EPs.

3 days of CA Widows tracking culminated with a late night mixing session in Sisters CA with Lonely Grange Recorders (http://www.lonelygrange.com/). Live footage was shot in addition to the tracking/ mixing sessions so look for that soon. Monday morning MT Records will collaborate with the 1 and only Franchot Tone to produce EP for up and coming artist Micah Bourneshttp://www.micahbournes.com/).

Whirlwind Weekend in BEND

What an amazing 3 days of music in lovely Bend! Saturday Night was filled with the sweet hairy magic of Mark Gillem and Justin Lavik, followed by Truth and Salvage Co @ Silver Moon Brewing (AWESOME)....then Sunday night at the Tower Theater saw ICON City's 'The Show' featuring Shannon Bex from MTV's 'Making of the Band,'.....whilst down the road @thekilns bookstore, the 3 Acoustic Amigos Shane Simonsen, Chris Beland, and Rootdown's Paul Wright entertained a full house. As if that weren't an earful, Monday night PDXchange program brought an AMAZING show at the Tower theater featuring Portland's own Viva Voce with opening acts Loch Lomond and the incredible Damien Jurado. If you haven't yet picked up Damien's latest album 'Saint Bartlett' do yourself a solid and get it. Congratulations Central Oregon, that was an awesome trifecta of melody.

March 6 LIVE at the Kilns

Just around the corner is a hot acoustic show. Sunday night March 6 at 7 PM might potentially be the last Kilns concert for a bit, so you'll want to make sure it's on your calendar! In addition to the smooth reggae pop sounds of the one and only Pauly Pub (Paul Wright/ Rootdown), we'll have Seattle's own Shane Simonsen (http://www.reverbnation.com/shanesimonsen) and Chris Beland. Over 1000 people from 8 countries and 30 states at the first ever Justice Conference (www.thejusticeconference.com). MT Pro Audio had the privilege of helping out with production at the Riverhouse convention center for this great event. In addition to the amazing cast of world renowned speakers, musicians Evan Wickham and Grace Laxson made cameos as well.
For Valentine's week we've got pre production on deck for 3 albums (CA Widows, Micah Bournes and Justin Lavik solo record), Deschutes Brewery SAGEBRUSH classic launch event and more......
